I got into this business because I love color, wool and people (not necessarily in that order!). I realized that there were many wools and yarns I wanted to dye, and not nearly enough time in a lifetime to knit, crochet, spin, felt or weave it all myself.

I have put together this site with the help of LJ Host and will continue to improve my site with time. If you have any feedback you would like to give me on the site or have any questions please contact me.

Yarn I'm offering hand-painted yarns in a variety of colors and weights. Each batch is original and there are usually four to six skeins (1 pound to 1.5 pounds) in each batch. Often I can reproduce more of a colorway, but just like the big commercial dyers, no two dye lots are identical. Because I dye with a number of colors together, each skein is its own work of art!  Currently, I'm dyeing yarns from Brown Sheep Company, Briggs & Little Woolen Mills Ltd and Henry's Attic. I also have a complete line of yarns that will be only offered wholesale. Look for it in a yarn shop near you – I’m offering it wholesale to a growing number of shops, If you own a shop and are interested in carrying my yarn, please contact me or call at 608/987-1346. Top of Page Roving For your spinning pleasure, I offer a wide variety of roving and top including merino blends, Corriedale, Blue Faced Leicester and Baby Camel Down, plus Optim stretched merino. I call it Near “Mere because it feels like cashmere. I also offer a new treat: Fleece Dyed Roving. Multiple colors of fleece, dyed and blended together with Angelina and/or silk noil. All spin beautifully, and come in a variety of fun colors. These rovings may be spun and blended in a number of ways. Each put-up is approximately 4 ounces except for Optim (approximately 2 ounce putups). Sandy’s Palette, LLC rovings are a beautiful treat you can afford. Top of Page Fun Extras Every so often, I will run across something wonderful. It might be hand crafted tatting shuttles from friend Liz's 92 year old dad, Frank, who wins prizes at the Oklahoma State Fair for his tatting. It might be a tool or a pattern or a finished knitted item. It might be fused glass beads, buttons or pins. Almost anything could end up here, so come back often to visit.
